Later this month, we will be sending our annual “November Mailing”. Your region board and committees will be sharing with you what is happening over the next several months.
Another big THANK YOU to everyone who attended our Fall District Meetings. It was fun to see everyone doing our “Happy Dance!” We learned a lot, shared ideas, and heard about the latest changes from SIA. We worked in groups to identify barriers and solutions to help us “Shape the Future of Soroptimist.” I am compiling these results and will be sharing them with SIA Headquarters, as well as the region board members. We will include these ideas in a future newsletter. If you have any additional thoughts about the barriers we face going forward, and any solutions to eliminate those barriers, please feel free to send me an email at email@example.com. I would welcome your additional ideas, and include them in the report. My deadline is November 14 – so please let me hear from you.
I am also excited about all the changes in the Founder Region Fellowship program. Check out their article in the newsletter for more details, and be sure and plan to come to conference in May to see the results!
I’ll bet you can hardly wait to see what crazy things the region board members are going to do at conference. Well, the only thing I can tell you is they already have some awesome sequined hats.
Your district directors have been scheduling their official visits to your clubs – please work with them to schedule these visits – and ask them to speak at your meeting if time allows. This is one of the best parts of being a district director – meeting with all of you and learning about the work you do in your communities! If you need speakers for any of your program meetings, ask any of us to come – we will try and accommodate you. Our region committee members are also available to speak on topics relating to their committee. Check the Founder Region roster for contact information.
The holiday season is approaching and I wish you all the very best as you enjoy the season with your families and friends. Thank you for all that you do to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment!
